Weakness, shortness of breath, heart pain: poor Izza is suffering from heartworm disease!

1. She has a heart disease...

Izza is a 10 years old dog, that we took in from a shelter in Serbia. She arrived with heartworm disease, a heart disease linked to the presence of roundworms in the heart. She is constantly tired and needs constant treatment.

2. She has almost no teeth left !

In Serbia, Izza lived in the mud, with only soaked bread as food. This damaged her teeth considerably. Today, most of her teeth have fallen out, making it impossible for her to chew.

3. Canned food would give her the energy she needs

After all she's been through, Izza is going to need a complete and qualitative diet. Canned food of age-appropriate wet food would help her to regain her strength without any difficulty.

4. We are always in a tizzy...

Between veterinary emergencies and two new unavoidable treatments, our association has no more money. We have even been forced to postpone some essential veterinary operations.

For the same reasons as us, more and more shelters are forced to close. What will happen if no one can take care of the animals left behind with dignity?
