SOS Equidés decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of pellets is highly critical.

Neurological consequences, loss of teeth: Fernando can no longer chew and needs to be supplemented!

1. A disease leaves him with heavy after-effects...

Fernando is a 29 year old horse, who has Lyme disease. He keeps neurological disorders: he sometimes has strokes, his head is bent and one of his legs is missing. The poor guy is often disoriented!

2. He has no more teeth!

With age, Fernando has lost his teeth. When he tries to eat grass, he makes balls of it which he spits out, because he cannot swallow them.

3. Pellets would be easier for him to eat if they were made into a mush

With pellets that we would serve him in soup or in porridge, Fernando could eat again. This would help him to regain his strength and to fight against the disorders linked to his illness.

4. We can't make it!

Some horses cannot eat grass at all and need pellets all year round. In total, we would need about a ton of pellets per month... it's huge in terms of budget! But the collections don't work, because people are too solicited...
