Tina is an 11 year old dog, who went from family to family. Her last owner had a handicap and could not take her out. So Tina was living indoors, surrounded by her excrements...
Tina is hypercardiac: her heart is abnormally large, which causes pulmonary embolisms (clots form and can block her arteries). She has to take medication for life!
Between her age and her comorbidities, Tina is one of our most vulnerable residents. A diet specially adapted to senior dogs would be of great help to her. Not only would it allow her to regain her strength, but it would also help prevent the onset of other potential health problems.
The situation is as complicated as ever. In order to face the lack of donations, we are constantly putting new solutions in place, but this requires a lot of time and energy, for very few results.
Because of the increasing number of abandonments, we also had to take over the care... We decided to wait until the end of 2023, to see if we can turn things around financially!
