SOS: in Bouches-du-Rhône, Isabelle no longer has any stock of kibble to feed the 400 free cats who need it... they will starve if no one helps!

1. In France, Isabelle no longer has any kibble left to feed the 400 free cats she takes care of... They will starve if no one helps!

"Spread over some 50 feeding sites, the 400 free cats that rely on us are starting to get weaker, thinner and sicker. Our kibble stocks are at zero, and we don't have the means to offer them good quality food in sufficient quantity.

We are forced to ration them and give them poor-quality kibble. They haven't been eating their fill for three months now! The older ones are getting gingivitis, the younger ones have coryza... We urgently need kibble, or they won't survive!"

2. Faced with titanic veterinary costs and a drop in donations, the association is losing its footing!

"Donations have fallen by 25% and membership fees by 35%. Every year it gets worse. Yet there are more and more cats in need. We've had to take in no fewer than 75 kittens since January!

As people have less means, in-store collections are not very successful. The volunteers try as best they can to cope, but it's far from enough... Veterinary costs (care, sterilizations, etc.) are so high that we have no budget left for kibble!"

3. Nuage recently lost an eye and can't find enough to eat outside on her own!

"Nuage is a free-spirited cat, about 3 years old, who we found two months ago with an abnormally watery eye. We took her to the vet, who found a spikelet in her eye socket. Unfortunately, Nuage had to be enucleated, as her eye was already badly damaged.

As she is too wild to cope with life in a foster home, she had to be released back to her birthplace. She now has to learn to live with her field of vision halved. Hunting is virtually mission impossible for her... If we don't have any more kibble to give her, she won't survive!"

4. Isabelle isn't asking for money, she just needs kibble to prevent the street cats from starving.

"I've been dedicated to the animal cause for fifteen years. It's a constant daily commitment and a lot of hardship, but I can't let the animals down.

Since Covid, the number of abandoned tomcats has increased. There are a lot more mouths to feed. For lack of means, some volunteers have been forced to give up... What will become of the cats if we don't manage to get out of this vicious circle?"
