Excessive thirst, weight loss, loss of appetite: Dorine is suffering from kidney failure!

1. She has kidney issues...

Dorine is a 16-year-old cat, whose kidneys are not functioning as well as they used to. She is suffering from what is known as kidney failure. This medical condition has caused her to lose a significant amount of weight in recent months. She's also constantly thirsty!

2. She no longer has any teeth!

With time, Dorine has lost all of her teeth. Chewing her food has become an impossible task for her.

3. Blankets would keep her warm this winter

Made vulnerable by her age, Dorine needs more rest than before. With some blankets, she would have a comfortable place to retreat and recover, all while remaining well protected from the cold.

4. I manage everything, alone...

With the heat, animals more readily fall ill and lose weight. This summer has really been quite complicated in that respect...

I am alone in managing everything: I have been waking up at 5 am every morning for the past 12 years, without taking a day off. Leaving the animals in need to fend for themselves is absolutely out of question for me!
