Nobody wants poor Ruben, as he is very ill!

1. He contracted a virus due to an immune disease...

Ruben is a 7 year-old cat, unwanted for adoption because of his health condition. Veterinary tests indeed revealed that he is carrying FIV.

This disease, which attacks his immune system, makes him particularly vulnerable. He has, in fact, contracted calicivirus, and is in pain when he eats...

2. He has digestive disorders!

We are unsure whether it is related to his treatment or his disease, but Ruben tends to have gastrointestinal disorders. He alternates between episodes of constipation and diarrhoea, which is particularly taxing on his body.

3. Blankets would protect him from the cold

A set of fleece blankets would help Ruben to maintain his body heat this winter. Thus shielded from the cold and humidity, he could get all the rest he needs to hold on despite his illness.

4. We urgently need help!

There are so many requests for care and support that we cannot respond to them all. And as there are now three times fewer opportunities to organise in-store collections than before, we have to fund 80% of the food ourselves... We won't manage to keep this up for long without help!
