Catastrophe! In Haute-Loire, France, Nadine has almost run out of kibble to feed the 400 street cats who need it... the poor things are in danger of starving to death!

1. In France, Nadine is almost out of kibble to feed the 400 street cats in her care... The poor things are in danger of starving to death!

"The cost of feeding the 400 free cats who rely on us is enormous. Today, we only have a few bags of kibble left, barely enough to last a few days... With the catastrophic year we've just been through, we can't afford to buy any more!

It's getting harder and harder to supply the 30 feeding sites attached to our association. We're starting to ration the cats a little, but some are falling ill. The poor things are hungry, and wait impatiently for us every morning... With winter just around the corner, we're afraid they'll die if we run out of kibble to feed them!

2. Increasing number of cats, rare donations, loss of resources: the association is in disarray!

"Donations have become very rare: we haven't received any for six months. We used to get them all year round... People are losing purchasing power, so they can't help us anymore. And since humanitarian associations have priority in the stores, it's very difficult for us to organize food collections there.

At the same time, there are more and more animals to take in. The 20 kittens we took in this year were all suffering from coryza. With the rising cost of food and veterinary fees, the coming months are going to be very difficult. Soon, we won't be able to feed all these kittens...".

3. Wounded, Nougat has lost an eye and can no longer hunt... without kibble, he won't survive!

"Nougat is a cat of about two years old, whom we found at a feeding site with one eye missing. The wound hasn't healed yet. He also has a large wound on his neck...

Deprived of part of his field of vision and greatly weakened, he can neither hunt nor forage effectively. Without kibble, he won't survive the winter!"

4. Nadine isn't asking for money, she just needs kibble to prevent street cats from starving.

"I've been looking after the cats in my village since 1996. I created the association in 2011, to raise awareness of animal suffering. Gradually, I set up sterilization campaigns, and fed and cared for as many cats as possible.

It's never been easy, but today, times are particularly hard. Without the means to feed and care for the cats, my entire pension is going down the drain! The success of this campaign is really vital for the association...".
