Poisoned, Leo's kidneys and liver are incredibly damaged!

1. He has been poisoned...

Leo is a six-year-old dog who was poisoned on the street. Poor Leo was vomiting, drooling and extremely emaciated when he arrived. We were able to treat him, but his kidneys and liver have suffered long-term damage and he struggles with putting on weight. Therefore, he has to be on medication.

2. He has heart problems!

Leo has dirofilariasis. Worms have taken up residence in his heart muscle, resulting in a condition that is severely weakening him.

3. Canned food would help him regain weight

With nutrient-rich food, Leo could quickly restore his energy levels. This would provide him with an opportunity to regain weight and improve his daily condition. Appetising canned food would also make it easier for him to take his medication without any difficulties.

4. We hope that donations will begin again…

Due to the animal abandonments this summer, we have been extremely busy. A lot of new animals with severe health issues have been brought to the association. As our donations had ceased during the holidays, we unfortunately do not have sufficient funds to purchase the needed amount of food...
