Suffering from kidney failure, Duchess suddenly lost a significant amount of weight!

1. She is extremely thin, due to her failing kidneys...

Duchesse is a 16-year-old cat who has spent her entire life outdoors. Recently, she lost so much weight that we took her to the vet for examinations.

It turned out that she suffers from chronic kidney disease (CKD): her kidneys are no longer effectively flushing toxins from her body. Therefore, we have safely housed her in the cattery.

2. Blankets would provide the comfort she needs at her age

A bundle of blankets would give Duchesse warmth and comfort in her twilight years. More sensitive to temperature changes due to her age and condition, she would have no further worries maintaining her body heat.

With blankets, she would benefit from a safe and comfortable space to curl up for rest. In order to help her body recover, she needs significantly more sleep than average.

3. Vet bills are sucking up our entire budget!

We have run out of food stocks for the cats and dogs. The veterinary bills are so high that we have no budget left for buying canned food and blankets!
