Found on the side of the road, Belle had a blood-filled abscess on her paw! She still needs to be monitored...

1. She was in a pitiful state

Belle was found at the side of the road. Older and dangerously thin, her body was infested with fleas. The most worrisome aspect, however, was her leg: it was damaged and visibly swollen.

The vet, who performed the surgery, discovered that she was suffering from an abscess full of blood. The amount of blood was even surpassing the abscess itself!

She still requires close monitoring, particularly as she's currently on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. Belle is not out of the woods yet!

2. Canned food will enable us to administer her medication

Belle is used to living outdoors. She needs to regain her health, put some weight back on... and for this, canned food will be crucial. Even more importantly, it will help us in giving her the necessary treatment and ensuring a good recovery.
