Minou is a cat of approximately 10 years old, that we found in the city, at a feeding station. Poor Minou had lost so much weight that he had to be hospitalised and intravenously treated for several days. It turns out he has diabetes and needs insulin injections to stay alive.
In addition to his ongoing treatment, Minou would greatly benefit from canned food suited for diabetic cats. A diet high in protein and low in carbohydrates would assist in regulating his glucose intake. This would allow him to regain weight and replenish his energy, without the risk of his health declining again.
We now provide health care, sterilisation, and nourishment for the city's street cats. We also host sick cats in foster homes... In total, this amounts to nearly 300 mouths to feed!
