Pepette is a 12-year-old cat who was abandoned while suffering from feline herpesvirus. As she didn't receive timely care, one of her eyes was irreversibly damaged by the virus. Sadly, it had to be removed, depriving her permanently of sight in one eye...
Afflicted with calicivirus, Pepette drools excessively due her inflamed gums. The pain also hinders her ability to eat. We have to frequently give her cortisone shots to alleviate her pain!
Wet food would be much easier for Pepette to ingest compared to kibbles. By replenishing her body with good nutrients, she could strengthen and more effectively combat the virus.
It would also be a great way to keep her shielded as long as possible from new health problems related to aging (kidney troubles, diabetes, etc.).
We have so many animals in shelter that we can no longer assure the intake of more. In terms of food, we're running on a shoestring... Your help in feeding all these little ones would be truly beneficial!
