Animal Webaction visited the site 07 March 2024 and confirms the situation described below.

1. In Morocco, Hind has run out of kibble to feed the 250 street cats in her care: they will starve to death if this campaign fails!

%%%

"Every day, the street cats under my responsibility impatiently await the moment when I come to offer them something to eat. Alas, today my bags of kibble are empty! I make do with leftover food to help them survive but it is far from enough...

Their state of health is visibly deteriorating: they are losing weight and fights over the slightest crumb of food are becoming a daily occurrence. Even more worrying, diseases are appearing within the colonies...

I feel totally helpless in regards to this situation, aware that every day that passes without adequate food, the risk of seeing them die increases! The future of all the cats who count on me hangs on the success of this kibble campaign..."

2. Cats fight over crumbs, the weakest find nothing to eat... They won't last long without kibble!

###

"The situation for the street cats I care for is more than precarious. Fights between cats are increasing, competition for leftover food is becoming more and more violent... The weakest no longer find anything to eat, their immune system weakens, their vulnerability to disease increases...

Hunger pushes some to leave their usual territory in search of sustenance, putting them at risk of being hit by cars or venturing into areas where they are not welcome. Some cats also go into inhabited areas, causing tensions with the populations. Their presence, once tolerated, could quickly become a subject of friction in the community if I don't find kibble soon... This weighs heavily on me, because all the efforts I have devoted to their protection would be wiped out!

The current lack of kibble not only threatens the health and survival of cats, but also risks undoing all the work done to offer them a semblance of security and stability... This delivery is their only lifeline!”

3. Hind is in a bind: despite her best efforts, kibble donations are non-existent... She can't cope on her own!

###

“Faced with the need to feed street cats, I tried several approaches which did not give the expected results. My calls for donations on social media mobilized few people. I tried to set up a subscription system for regular donations, but it didn't work. An adoption program to reduce the number of cats was not enough to alleviate the situation.

Organizing lotteries to raise funds did not meet with the enthusiasm I had hoped for, and my efforts to benefit from international aid proved complex and without result. Even when trying to establish a mutual aid network between shelters, I did not succeed in creating an effective chain of solidarity...

All my efforts so far seem to have led to nothing...  I feel helpless! These successive failures accentuate the urgency of finding a solution for cats. Unfortunately, I cannot ensure the survival of the cats alone!”

4. Hind isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the cats from starving.

###

“Kibble plays a much more crucial role than it seems in my daily life dedicated to the care of street cats. It is not only used to feed them, but also to facilitate the administration of medications essential to their health. It helps me attract cats for catch and release sterilization operations and is essential for vaccinating cats, a crucial step in preventing the spread of diseases.

My ability to continue to care for these lives is seriously compromised by this shortage of kibble. Without them, establishing a bond of trust with these animals, often suspicious or fearful of humans, becomes an insurmountable task...

Not only are vaccination and sterilization efforts likely to be compromised, but the very dynamics between cats could be disrupted, leading to consequences the scale of which is difficult for me to accept..."

5. Hind continues her fight to improve the lives of street cats, despite the incomprehension and hostility she faces.

###

"Every day, I dedicate myself to improving the lot of street cats, constantly looking for new methods to bring them a little comfort and affection. This mission, although rewarding, exposes me to difficult realities, between the incomprehension of some and the hostility of others. However, at the heart of my commitment, there is an ardent desire to change mentalities towards these wandering souls, to have their value and their right to a life recognized worthy.

My work, much more than a series of actions, has a significant impact on the community, revealing the importance of caring for these animals who share our daily lives. Successes, even small ones, are powerful reminders of why I continue this fight: every cat saved, every life improved is a victory against indifference!

This deep bond that I have forged with animals helps me transcend obstacles, giving me the strength to continue despite difficulties. I dream of a future where every street cat will find a refuge, an outstretched hand, a kind look. It is this future that I strive to build, guided by the conviction that our coexistence can be harmonious and compassionate."

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

8. In Morocco, donors are rare, and there are no foundations or subsidies... It is very difficult to find funding for kibble, many cats are left starving in the street!
