La Retraite des Chevaux des Causses decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of pellets is highly critical.

Choke, colic... Surprise can no longer chew, and is suffering from digestive issues!

1. She's fragile!

Surprise is a 17-year-old mare, the offspring of a mother who, unknown to us, was pregnant when we took her in. Therefore, she did not receive appropriate nutrition during the gestation period, which has left Surprise with lingering vulnerabilities.

2. Her teeth are too damaged to chew properly...

Surprise's teeth are already severely damaged, and she frequently suffers from esophageal obstructions and colic due to her inability to chew food properly.

3. Moistened pellets would allow her to eat without difficulty.

Excellent sources of essential nutrients, pellets would be perfect to help strengthen Surprise. We would moisten them to ease her digestion. It would be a great relief for her to eat without the risk of developing digestive issues.

4. Financially, our pensions are simply not enough anymore...

The ongoing care and feeding of twenty horses are becoming increasingly challenging on our modest pensions. Inflation has put us in an unprecedented situation!

Most of the horses are older and require pellets to maintain their health... With the current cold and damp weather, they need additional support now more than ever!
