La Retraite des Chevaux des Causses decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of pellets is highly critical.

Ataxia, diarrhoea, difficulties eating: poor Quenza is plagued with health problems!

1. Being separated from her mother too early caused her health problems!

Quenza is a 19-year-old mare, who lost her mother at only one month old. Still extremely vulnerable at the time, she developed ataxia—a neurological disorder that makes feeding difficult. She also suffers from diarrhoea due to intestinal frailty.

2. Moistened pellets would make eating easier for her

Excellent source of essential nutrients, pellets would be perfect to help Quenza gain strength. We would moisten them for her, enabling her to eat them more easily. Easy to digest and of high quality, they might even help alleviate her diarrhoea.

3. Financially, our pensions are no longer sufficient...

Continuing to feed and care for twenty or so horses is becoming increasingly challenging with our modest pensions. The rising cost of living has put us in an unprecedented situation!

The majority of the horses are old and need pellets to stay healthy... With the current cold and wet weather, they need dietary supplements more than ever!
