Groovy is a cat of around eight years old, found on the brink of death outside. He was extremely thin, dehydrated and utterly lethargic. Consequently, we immediately took him to the vet where he underwent emergency surgery to remove a large blood clot from his bladder...
Canned food designed for urinary issues, like the ones Groovy is experiencing, would be ideal for helping him recover and regain strength peacefully. The balanced mineral content in these foods would aid in controlling his urinary pH, thus decreasing the risk of developing new bladder stones.
Not to mention, the high moisture content found in these foods would help him stay well-hydrated and dilute his urine to counteract the buildup of bladder stone-causing minerals.
We’ve been running the association since 2011, currently caring for around fifty animals, many of which are sick cats. There are only three of us volunteers managing everything, including finances.
Without any subsidies, and only limited support for animal sterilisation and identification, we often have to dip into our personal finances to feed the cats... But with inflation, we won’t be able to keep this up for long!
