Injured in one leg, little Patless had to be amputated!

1. She lost a leg in an accident...

Patless is a four-month-old kitten that locals found with part of her front leg torn away. She had likely been caught in a trap and somehow managed to free herself...

The vet had to amputate her leg to allow the wound to fully heal. Patless is now disabled. Running, jumping... everything is more difficult for her! So, we placed her in a foster family.

2. She's malnourished...

Patless was probably underfed when she was living outside, as she only weighed 1.4 kg when she arrived. She is also very deficient and has to take dietary supplements.

3. She has skin problems...

During the amputation, the vet discovered that Patless has cutaneous atrophy. Her skin is very thin, and at risk of tearing at the slightest shock! Thus, we have to do our best to prevent her from getting hurt.

4. Blankets could make her environment more secure...

Fleece blankets would provide Patless with a soft and safe layer of protection that would spare her delicate skin and minimise the chance of skin injuries.

They would provide her with essential warmth, particularly beneficial for maintaining her body temperature (a crucial aspect for a kitten of her size). Moreover, these blankets would create a comfortable and reassuring environment, which would promote her rest and recovery.

5. Our financial resources are running low...

Our charity is dealing with an increasing number of reports of abandoned cats and large kittens, which is putting a lot of strain on our resources. Our funds are at an all-time low!

With the arrival of Winter, the cats have become weak and need to regain strength. However, the cost of canned food and blankets is something we currently can't afford...
