Animal Webaction visited the site 04 April 2024 and confirms the situation described below.

1. In Morocco, Elise will soon run out of kibble to feed the 180 dogs in her shelter. They will starve if no one helps!

%%%

"Our stock of kibble is nearly depleted... For two weeks, I've been forced to reduce the portions I feed my dogs. Ensuring two meals a day has become impossible...

The dogs are starting to lose weight, and diseases related to malnutrition are becoming more and more prevalent within the shelter. Tensions among the dogs are rising, leading to frequent fights among them.

This atmosphere filled with anxiety makes me dread the worst: not being able to ensure the survival of those I care for. The failure of this campaign would mean an absolute disaster for the shelter and all its residents..."

2. The dogs' health is deteriorating and fights are becoming commonplace... Elise fears a catastrophe if this campaign fails.

###

"The warning signs of a much more serious situation are already showing. Veterinary care, which is prohibitively expensive for our resource-limited structure, becomes a pressing necessity for some. The health of the dogs deteriorates day by day, and the recovery of the sick is greatly compromised...

Tension inevitably rises among the dogs, driven by hunger. I fear the moment when these tensions will explode, leaving behind chaos that's difficult to manage. What terrifies me most is finding dogs dead from fights... Without a new supply of kibble, the situation could quickly turn into a nightmare!"

3. Elise's extensive efforts to obtain kibble have failed: she desperately needs help feeding her dogs!

###

"I've tried numerous approaches to compensate for the lack of kibble. I've turned to local supermarkets for donations of kibble, without success. I've also set up a donation box in town, which remains desperately empty.

I've launched calls for donations on our social media, and sent out newsletters to alert our community. Alas, these attempts have not garnered the support we hoped for as the crisis impacts everyone's finances... Requests to NGOs have not been successful either. This series of failures is making me increasingly desperate. The anxiety I feel grows as our last bags of kibble empty..."

4. Elise isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"Ensuring the minimal well-being of our dogs is impossible without kibble. My time, which should be devoted to the direct care of the dogs, is now absorbed by the search for donations. The rehabilitation of abused animals, as well as the welcome of new dogs in distress, are seriously compromised.

Order and cleanliness within the shelter, as well as disease prevention, are directly impacted by this lack of food resources. Adoption programs are also in jeopardy, as they largely depend on the good health of the dogs... My commitment to these animals and my ability to help them are tested every day that passes without kibble."

5. Despite a journey littered with obstacles, stories of successful rescues fuel Elise's determination to protect the animals she loves so much.

###

"My love for animals and my sadness at their distress were the driving forces behind the creation of this shelter. This commitment comes with numerous sacrifices, both personal and financial, but my motivation remains unshakeable. Over time, this place has become a haven for many abandoned dogs.

Every obstacle encountered has strengthened my determination, and every dog saved has cemented my commitment. Rescue stories punctuate our journey, and they are victories against indifference and sometimes hostility we encounter. Protecting these animals is an integral part of who I am!"

6. If this campaign succeeds, Elise will not receive any money but 2000 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics centre in Morocco.

Animal Webaction has a logistics centre in Morocco, which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.

7. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail...

Liste des récoltes échouées

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the collected products, the beneficiary receives nothing and the buyers get a refund.

8. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies . It is very difficult to find funding for kibble, many dogs remain starving in the street!
