1. She bears the scars of abuse...

Esperanza is an 11-year-old mare, whom we took in following a seizure for animal cruelty. She was skeletal when she first arrived, and retained a deep distrust of humans.

2. Pellets would help us maintain a bond with her

To continue recovering, Esperanza needs additional nutritional supplements. With pellets, she could regain her strength and brace herself for the rest of the winter. Giving her such enticing food daily would help her rebuild trust, showing her that we only wish the best for her.

3. Winter complicates our financial position...

With the arrival of winter, the association's expenses increase. We try as best we can to bring in some money with Christmas fairs, but it's not enough. During this period, the animals need more food, care, etc. Our budget is simply not sufficient to meet these demands!
