Murphy is a young cat of less than a year old, who found himself abandoned at a feeding site overnight. The other cats have disappeared, and he remains alone and withdrawn, waiting for us each morning, by the side of the road.
He is quite scrawny and appears to be in poor shape, struggling to eat. Eating dry food became an impossible task for him. We would like to take him in for care, to provide the support he needs.
While we try to catch him to take him in for treatment, Murphy could really benefit from a batch of blankets. This would prevent him from having to sleep directly on the dirty, damp ground. Being able to burrow into blankets would bring him great comfort!
Our association is facing increasing pressure, dealing with a significant number of sick animals requiring costly care.
People's reluctance to adopt these animals, combined with a rise in the abandonment of older or sickly cats, is intensifying our stress... Not to mention that feeding areas are becoming increasingly widespread, adding yet more to our difficulties!
