Cannelle is a 23-year-old donkey, suffering from severe colic. Like many donkeys, she showed few symptoms of this disease. We only discovered her significant deficiencies late on…

2. She got injured after fainting!

Due to her deficiencies, Cannelle fainted. She fell in her box and injured a leg and her hindquarters. As she can't eat to regain strength, we have her on a drip.

3. Pellets would help her quickly regain energy

Once she can eat again, Cannelle will need pellets. Easily digestible, they would lessen the risk of her colic worsening, while allowing her to regain strength rapidly.

By providing a nutritional balance suited to her needs, such supplementation would help strengthen her intestinal health. Once rebalanced, her microbiota would be more resilient and less prone to future colic attacks.

4. The refuge is under strain!

Currently, our association is facing many difficulties. The recent bad weather has forced us to take on more animals, even though we were already under strain!

Right now, no less than 300 animals are counting on us! This situation severely tests our resources and our ability to provide proper care to all of our residents…
