Animal Webaction visited the site 18 May 2024 and confirms the situation described below.

1. In Morocco, Hanane is almost out of kibble to feed the 144 dogs in her shelter. They will starve if no one intervenes!

%%%

"There are only 15 bags of kibble left... which is practically nothing! I've rescued 24 dogs from the streets and the pound in the past few weeks, and they were in a deplorable state. Their arrival has greatly increased our need for kibble.

Unfortunately, we don't receive enough donations to cover all these expenses. And in addition to the 144 dogs at the shelter, I also feed street dogs every day. We won't last long at this rate... "

2. Without kibble, the many vulnerable dogs that have just been rescued will not survive...

###

"If we don't get kibble quickly, it will be very serious for our dogs! Hunger will weaken them, make them sick and aggressive. Fights will inevitably break out among them for food. The recently rescued dogs, already weak or injured, won't survive such a situation...

We risk losing innocent lives due to a lack of resources. This situation breaks my heart! Seeing these poor animals we try so hard to protect suffer would be real torture. I can't let them starve to death before my eyes!"

3. Hanane is distraught: despite her efforts, donations aren't coming in...

###

"I've tried everything but I can't get enough kibble. I issued an emergency appeal on my Facebook page, but donations aren't coming in.

I contacted other associations without success: they are facing the same difficulties. I tried to negotiate a loan, but my debts to the veterinary clinic were held against me. I even begged local pet stores to give us their unsold stock...

It's a daily struggle to gather enough to feed my protégés, and all the doors are closing in front of me..."

4. Hanane isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"Kibble is our number one need, the absolute emergency! Without it, we will no longer be able to carry out our mission of welcoming and rescuing street dogs. Our actions in the field will be severely compromised.

Worse, dozens of animal lives will be directly threatened in the very short term. We may have to give up rescuing new ones, condemning them to abandonment and the worst suffering. All the progress made so far to improve their fate would be reduced to nothing!"

5. Hanane perseveres in her difficult fight for animal protection in Morocco, one victory at a time.

###

"In Morocco, animal protection is a major undertaking. Attitudes are changing slowly, resources are lacking, and loneliness is my daily reality. But I can't give up. Too many animals depend on me!

I am convinced that every small step counts and that our action, however modest, can make a difference. Seeing these animals regain their carefree and joyful lives after experiencing the worst torment, nothing beats that feeling of pride! It is for these moments of pure happiness that I fight, again and again."

6. If this campaign succeeds, Hanane will not receive any money but 2500 kg of kibble, delivered from the Animal Webaction's logistics centre in Morocco.

Animal Webaction has a logistics centre in Morocco, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.

7. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail...

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

8. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies. It is very difficult to find funding for kibble, many dogs remain starving on the street!
