Cancer, ear ulcers, parasitic disease: poor Marius has been cruelly neglected in the past!

1. He lived in despicable conditions!

Marius is a 12 year old dog who we repatriated from Reunion Island. There, he was living in a shelter where he was horribly mistreated. He spent years without seeing the light of day, surrounded by rats and worms!

Through lack of care, he eventually contracted ehrlichiosis, a bacterial infection transmitted by ticks. He also has very bad teeth, which had never received any care before arriving with us...

2. He's faced with numerous health problems!

Marius has testicular cancer, and the testicles were tucked up in his abdomen! His eyes are constantly running, following an emergency eye removal surgery he had on Reunion Island. He is therefore going to need to be operated on again...

Aside from all this, he has had so many ear infections that he now has ulcers in his ears! We are currently treating his issues one by one and doing our best to look after him.

3. Canned food would help him recover

Canned dog food could help Marius regain his strength. This would be easier for him to eat than dry food, given the current state of his teeth.

Such food would aid in his return to health and would certainly lift his spirits after all the terrible hardships he's endured!

4. Our situation is particularly difficult!

We have carried out large-scale rescues on Reunion Island in the past, which have resulted in substantial costs. Due to a lack of funds, we have had to stop taking on cases outside our own region.

We're in a tough spot, which is why we need help in providing suitable food to our little charges in need...
