Nervousness, thinness, persistent diarrhoea: poor Delice has hyperthyroidism!

1. He has thyroid problems...

Delice is a 14-year-old cat who has a thyroid disorder. He was very nervous, skinny and suffering from persistent diarrhoea. Hence, we had him undergo several tests to find out more before we put him on treatment to alleviate his symptoms.

2. He can hardly eat!

Delice is starting to lose his teeth and drool as the inside of his mouth is inflamed. Chewing food has thus become a real struggle for him. All this is due to a calicivirus, a highly contagious and unfortunate disease...

3. With blankets, he would be warm this winter

A batch of blankets would help shield Delice from the coming winter's cold. By helping him maintain his body heat more easily, these blankets would provide him with more restorative rest, increasing his chances of recovering from the calicivirus.

4. Our resources are very limited...

We encounter many cases of calicivirus among the cats we take care of. With about forty tomcats to manage, we try to hold collections, but life has become tough for everyone! Resources are limited while needs are increasing...
