1. She contracted a tropical disease from a tick!

Leonie is a dog, almost 10 years old, who we rescued from a shelter in Reunion Island just before ending our interventions outside the department.

She has ehrlichiosis, a tropical disease transmitted by a tick, which causes her lymph nodes to swell and liver damage. So, we've placed her in a foster home where she receives treatment for a month.

2. Canned food could help her recover

Canned pet food suitable for her age could encourage Leonie to eat more, which would help maintain her weight and endure her treatment. Easy to digest and of high quality, such food could perhaps help to calm down her liver complications.

3. The association is overwhelmed by the load...

We have stopped all interventions outside the department and now only manage local cases due to numerous abandonments. Since the last lockdown, the situation has remained tough, and our food stocks are exhausted...

We still have numerous residents to manage, most of whom will stay at the association for life! Paying for their care and treatments is also a significant budget...
