Immunity-wise, Kovu is vulnerable and constantly gets cystitis!

1. He is fragile and frequently contracts urinary infections…

Kovu is a cat of about ten years old, who is carrying FIV, a virus that makes him vulnerable on the immune level. Poor Kovu constantly has cystitis, as he can't effectively fight against bacteria!

He is also thin, due to kidney failure… Therefore, we have placed him in a foster home.

2. He has no teeth left…

Kovu's teeth were so damaged that we had to remove all of them. Thus, he can no longer chew his food at all!

3. Blankets would help him recover in comfort

A set of blankets would offer a bit of softness to Kovu, which would greatly comfort him. He could snuggle in them to rest, and be protected from the cold when winter comes back!

4. We have many sick kittens and adults to manage…

The situation is very tense at the moment. We are managing more than 150 animals, many of whom are kittens, often from large litters, and many are suffering from leukaemia! Our resources are limited which only complicates things further...
