Immunologically vulnerable, Kovu constantly gets cystitis!

1. He's frail and prone to urinary tract infections...

Kovu is a cat of about ten years old, who carries the FIV virus, making him vulnerable to infection. Poor guy is constantly suffering from cystitis, as he can't effectively fight off bacteria!

He's also rather thin due to suffering from kidney failure... So, we've moved him into a foster home.

2. He's lost all his teeth...

Kovu's teeth were so damaged, we had to remove all of them. Therefore, he's no longer able to chew his food!

3. Special canned food would help him regain weight

Canned food specifically designed to be easy on the kidneys could help Kovu regain weight in a healthy manner, providing him with nutrient-rich meals. This would be an opportunity for him to recover strength and regain good health!

4. We have many sick kittens and adult cats to care for...

Times are tough at the moment. We're managing over 150 animals, many of them are kittens from large litters, with several cases of leukaemia... Resources are limited which is making things more challenging...
