1. Inflammation in her mouth interferes with eating...

Ziva is a roughly 15-year-old cat found in the car park of a retirement home. Sadly, she has calicivirus, which hinders her from eating.

Between ulcers and inflammation in her mouth, she drools heavily and requires painkilling injections.

2. She has diarrhoea!

Weakened by her life spent outside and the toll of the years, Ziva has intestinal issues. As she frequently has diarrhoea, her body is not efficiently absorbing the nutrients from her food.

3. For her to effectively regain her strength, she'll need special canned food

Canned food that's formulated for gastrointestinal health could help Ziva recover, while allowing her intestines to rejuvenate. It would give her a chance to load up on good nutrients, while staying well hydrated.

4. Our association takes in many vulnerable cats...

We run trolley drives, but people give little and abandonments are on the rise. We're receiving increasing numbers of older, injured or sick cats which dramatically adds to our workload... In this context, help with food would be more than welcome!
