Due to an infection in his nervous system, Gabin temporarily lost his sight and the use of his paws!

1. He had to be hospitalised due to a severe infection!

Gabin is a four-month-old kitten who was reported to us by a passerby. He was hospitalised for an infectious encephalitis (likely caused by toxoplasmosis) and required intravenous treatment and care.

Unfortunately, this infection led to cerebral oedema, which temporarily rendered him tetraplegic and blind. Gabin is only just starting to walk again and regain his sight, yet he must undergo regular rehabilitation sessions and checks...

2. Canned food would assist his recovery

Kitten canned food could help Gabin regain strength by providing essential nutrients for his growth.

A suitable diet would also support his muscle recovery, necessary for his rehabilitation. After all he has been through, such food would certainly lift his spirits!

3. We are swamped with veterinary bills!

We have incurred numerous veterinary expenses to treat sick cats, some of whom had to be hospitalised!

Since September, the situation has become difficult, our means are limited, and the donations are no longer enough. With around thirty cats in care and about twenty outdoors, our resources are greatly stretched...
