Suffering from neurological issues, poor Quimy tends to fall and get hurt!

1. She is prone to falls!

Quimy is a 21-year-old mare who suffers from neurological disorders related to ataxia. This causes her to lose balance and fall, sometimes causing herself injury.

We therefore have to ensure that she maintains a proper muscle mass, to minimise the frequency of her falls.

2. Pellets would help her maintain her health

Pellets would efficiently provide Quimy with essential nutrients. Having access to such a diet daily would help her maintain her health and strength, hence minimizing the risk of falls and injury.

3. We are overwhelmed by the cost of care...

We constantly struggle with the ever-increasing financial demands of caring for our ageing horses, as they require constant care. The association solely relies on three volunteers with limited resources, who have to fund everything with their small pensions. This is unsustainable!
