Felix is an eight-year-old cat who has lived outside his whole life. He is found in a secure area surrounding the shelter, as he is too wild to bear indoor living. Unfortunately, the place is damp and very exposed to the wind...
Felix has chronic pancreatitis. This sometimes causes him severe diarrhoea, which weakens him greatly. When necessary, we take him to the vet to put him on a drip and administer medication to ease his pain.
A cubby would provide Felix with a place to take refuge in bad weather. He would thus be less exposed to cold and damp, which would help him get through the winter period with greater calm.
We take care of nearly 200 cats, but our resources are limited: donations are irregular, the aid rare, and the 'shopping trolley' initiatives extraordinary. Online funds struggle to cover the essentials.
The president, with her humble pension, dedicates everything to these animals, but it remains insufficient. Each day, it becomes more difficult to meet the vital needs of these cats that entirely depend on us...
