Louisa is a 14-year-old cat, who has developed a strong inflammation in her mouth due to a calicivirus. The vet removed some of her teeth in September, but the inflammation has come back.
For this reason, she's struggling to eat, even though she's on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. We plan to take her to the vets as soon as possible, to check if she has mouth ulcers.
Wet food would be more suitable for Louisa than dry kibbles. Besides providing her with the necessary nutrients, such a diet would help her take her medicine more easily. It would also be a good way for her to stay hydrated.
We always have about a hundred free-roaming cats to feed outdoors, and 28 cats who are in foster care.
