1. He's just been abandoned...

Having arrived from Réunion eight years ago, Mica had found a family on the mainland. Unfortunately, his adoptive family, swamped with life's demands, could no longer take care of their pets and returned him to us. Taken in only yesterday, this senior cat urgently needs our full attention to regain his love for life.

2. He's dealing with numerous health problems

Mica's condition is worrying: he is emaciated and is suffering from multiple ailments. Cataracts have left him almost blind, and chronic ear infections have rendered him completely deaf.

His body is plagued by arthritis, and his mouth shows severe infections with abscesses spreading to beneath his eyes. Surgery is scheduled for next week to extract his infected teeth, including the canines. Fortunately, his heart is in good condition, which will allow for surgical intervention.

3. Canned senior food could help him regain his strength

In his current state, Mica needs to regain his strength rapidly. Senior canned food, specifically adapted for older cats, would allow him to eat properly. This food is essential to help him gain some weight before his upcoming surgery.

4. We're swamped with veterinary costs...

Our association mainly takes in sick, elderly, often end-of-life cats. We currently have 106 cats, all with heavy conditions requiring expensive care. Our entire budget goes to veterinary expenses! We don't have funds to allocate to food, particularly as our cats need a special diet... a diet that's very expensive. We are in desperate need of a helping hand to get by!
