Rox is a young four-year-old cat going through an especially tough time. He's been suffering from a calicivirus, which has caused severe gum inflammation. Consequently, he had to undergo a complete tooth extraction. As such, he can no longer eat dry food...
He's also troubled by a persistent case of cat flu. He's sneezing and has a runny nose, which is taking a severe toll on his body!
Rox now relies entirely on a soft-food diet. Without his teeth, only wet food allows him to eat properly. These easier-to-consume meals would help him maintain his strength and fight off his infections, as well as ensure he remains well hydrated.
Our association takes care of around fifty free-living cats and twenty housed cats - a daily challenge. With the costs of veterinary care for treatments, sterilisations, vaccinations, and identifications, buying food is becoming increasingly difficult.
Despite our fund-raising efforts and raffles, we're struggling to cope and always operating on a shoestring budget. Your help is pivotal in allowing us to continue caring for all these cats that depend on us.
