Mowgli is a 6-and-a-half-month-old kitten, born in a waste recycling centre, just like Bigoudi. Exposed to moulds and parasites, her poor diet considerably weakened her digestive system.
Given her wild nature, Mowgli will probably have to be released back into the wild after her treatments, despite our efforts to socialise her. A shelter would be vital to offer her a safe haven, protected from the elements. This protection would help to maintain her fragile health and prevent relapses, particularly during cold and wet periods.
The association will soon face a busy period of rescuing kittens born on the streets. At present, we have 30 cats and kittens in foster care, some of whom, like Mowgli, require specific equipment for their wellbeing. Many of these cats currently under our care are carriers of diseases or have severe health issues. Our primary goal is to take care of as many kittens as possible and ensure their safety, whether they are adoptable or not.
