Thinness, weakened immune defences, old age: poor Philibert is becoming increasingly vulnerable!

1. He lives outdoors!

Philibert is a very wild cat of about 16 years old, who won't tolerate living indoors. Therefore, he has always lived outside, in a garden amongst farm buildings...

2. He's becoming increasingly frail...

Being FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) carrier, Philibert is more vulnerable health-wise, as his immune system is less effective.

With age, he's also lost teeth, which makes eating problematic. Consequently, he has lost a lot of weight...

3. A kennel would provide him with shelter from the rain

With a kennel, Philibert would no longer have to sleep directly on the ground. He could finally rest properly, sheltered from the wind and rain. This would be a real positive change for him!

4. Needs exceed our resources...

Our income is limited, and we have many elderly and sick cats to look after. Our charges need care and food, not to mention the stray cats who are also reliant on us!
