Noiraud is approximately a 10-year-old cat, who has a severe case of calicivirus. His gums are inflamed, he has ulcers in his mouth, and possibly an abscess. This means he can no longer chew at all!
To ease his pain, we give him tablets in his food, without which he struggles to eat...
Given his age and medical condition, Noiraud has never been adopted. He therefore lives outdoors, in a garden. We plan on moving him to a secured site, but there are not enough shelters there for all the cats…
As he does not have a home, at the very least Noiraud could have a roof over his head if we were able to provide him with a kennel. He could take refuge there in cases of wind or rain, ensuring he could sleep more peacefully. It would truly comfort him!
In our efforts to limit the number of kittens this year, we have carried out numerous sterilisations, which had significant veterinary costs.
As such, we now lack the funds to provide the specialised food required by those under our care who need it...
