Emaciation, lethargy, laminitis: poor Sirene has Cushing's disease!

1. Her immune system is weakened...

Sirene, a 21-year-old donkey, was taken in by us two months ago. She is unfortunately suffering from cushing's disease: her body produces an excess of cortisol which weakens her immune system. The condition manifests in symptoms like laminitis and significant weight loss.

2. With pellets, she could regain her strength

Wholesome and vitamin-rich supplementation like pellets would be ideal for Sirene. This type of food would not only help recharge her energy but also contribute towards her regaining strength. It would be a good way for her to build resilience, despite her illness.

3. 280 animals need us!

We have taken in more animals, bringing our total of animals under our care up to 280. At the moment, it is challenging to find carers. Not to mention the huge budget needed to feed all our donkeys!
