Poor Siam is struggling to eat due to a calicivirus...

1. An inflammation in her mouth hinders her eating!

Siam is a nine-year-old cat, who has a calicivirus. To alleviate this, it's been necessary to remove all her teeth. Her symptoms subsided for a year, but currently, the inflammation in her mouth is causing her discomfort again.

In particular, she's having difficulty eating. We therefore arranged for an injection at the vet's to soothe the pain...

2. With canned food, she could regain strength more easily

A wet food would be more suitable than dry food for Siam, given she has no teeth. With such a diet, she could easily replenish her energy, and provide her body with the nutrients it needs to be better resistant to the disease.

3. We are walking a tightrope!

Some of the free-roaming cats are very ill. With the costs of veterinary care and consultations increasingly expensive, the financial situation of the association is becoming particularly tight!
