Glaucomas, eye ulcers: poor Tinkerbell is going to have to be enucleated!

1. She is going to lose an eye…

Clochette is a 13-year-old dog, who has lived as a stray dog on the streets of Reunion Island before she ended up in the pound. For a few months now, she has been suffering from glaucoma in her eyes, along with corneal ulcerations.

It was necessary to suture part of her eyelids several times… We tried various treatments, which, unfortunately, did not work. So, we will have to operate on her and remove one of her eyes next week.

2. Suitable canned food would help her regain strength efficiently

A diet suitable for senior dogs would allow Clochette to healthily regain strength after her operation.

By providing her with essential vitamins and minerals on a daily basis, such canned food would help her replenish her energy, while offering her a great deal of comfort.

3. The association took a big hit!

We had a lot of veterinary emergencies, which resulted in significant costs for the association.

In the past, we received discounts on surgeries, but that is no longer possible… Considering our animals often need them because they are old and/or ill, this is really problematic!
