Mouth ulcers, excessive salivation, painful gums: poor Rosie has a serious case of calicivirus!

1. The inside of her mouth is very inflamed!

Rosie is a five-year-old cat, suffering severely from calicivirus. Her gums are inflamed, she drools a lot and she has ulcers in her mouth.

To provide relief, we have to take her to the vet nearly every month, where she receives an injection of anti-inflammatories. We also give her tablets in her food, without which she struggles to eat...

2. To feed, she needs canned food

Canned pâté would offer Rosie a precious source of vitamins. Easy to swallow and appetising, such food would make it easy for her to take her tablets. This can break the vicious cycle and possibly alleviate some of her symptoms.

3. Our budget cannot cover everything!

In an effort to limit the number of kittens this year, we have carried out many sterilisations, which have constituted significant veterinary costs.

Unfortunately, we no longer have enough resources to fund specialised food for those of our proteges who need it...
