Due to a calicivirus, Roucky is having great difficulty eating...

1. The inside of his mouth is inflamed!

Roucky is a free-roaming cat of about three years old, who has a calicivirus. His gums are inflamed, which makes it hard for him to chew. Therefore, we are giving him tablets in his food, to provide him with some relief.

2. To eat, he needs canned food

Canned cat food would offer Roucky a valuable source of vitamins. Easy to ingest and appetising, this type of food would allow him to take his tablets effortlessly. Subsequently, some of his symptoms could start to alleviate slightly.

3. Our budget cannot cover everything!

To try and limit the number of kittens this year, we have carried out numerous sterilisations, which have represented significant veterinary costs.

We therefore no longer have enough means to fund specialised food for those of our wards who need it…
