Sirius is a three-and-a-half-year-old cat who's just been discharged from hospital. We rushed him there a few days ago because he had a huge abscess above his eye! The vet operated on him and he's now convalescing, with antibiotic treatment.
With a set of blankets, Sirius would be nicely settled to rest after the operation. We'd set up a rotation so he always has a clean place to lie, in order to avoid any risk of infection to the healing wound.
Some of our charges caught Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), and there were sadly several deaths.
The care they needed incurred significant costs. As a result, we no longer have the means to purchase specialised food, blankets, and shelters for those who need them…
