Left to fend for herself while she was pregnant, poor Bigoudi gave birth to a little one who didn't survive...

1. Her lamb didn't survive...

Bigoudi is an approximately three-year-old Ouessant sheep which we took in following an alert.

Poor Bigoudi was neglected, lacking water, food and care, all while she was pregnant! Her lamb did not survive: it was already dead by the time we arrived...

2. She was in a dreadful state!

As she hadn't been sheared for a long time, Bigoudi had very thick wool. It took a lot of veterinary care to rid her of ticks, lice, and worms that were plaguing her... All of this has drained her, and she remains thin and malnourished!

3. Pellets can help her regain health

A supplementary diet rich in minerals would be ideal for helping Bigoudi recover. Being able to eat her fill every day would allow her to regain strength. It would be a real relief for her, after everything she's endured!

4. Many new animals have arrived at the shelter... we are overwhelmed!

The start of 2025 has been very challenging for our association. We have made several new rescues, which has resulted in significant costs.

In addition to dogs and cats, we are now taking in farm animals. No less than 11 sheep have arrived, several of whom are currently pregnant!
