Missing teeth, Cushing's disease: Hilda needs to be supplemented with a suitable diet!

1. Frail health comes with age…

Hilda is a 33-year-old pony, now enjoying her retirement from the riding school. She has cushing's disease, but her rates are still reasonable. The only noticeable symptom at the moment is her shaggy coat. We therefore monitor her closely and take the best care of her that we can.

2. She doesn't have a single tooth left!

Being old, Hilda has also lost all her teeth. For this reason, she can no longer eat hay, as this forms clumps in her oesophagus that could cause her to choke…

3. Pellets would allow her to gain strength without risk

To maintain her condition despite her age and health issues, Hilda will need supplementing. Moistened pellets would be an excellent source of vitamins and minerals for her system. They would allow her to replenish her energy, without the risk of forming esophageal obstructions.

4. A lot of animals in need rely on us…

At present, we are looking after 150 animals. Recent storms have caused mudslides, damaging some of the stalls. Cleanup and repairs are underway.

We have also taken on new cases of sick animals who will need care… All of this represents very considerable costs!
