Injured and missing a leg, Chéri was abandoned by the people who were supposed to adopt him...

1. His adopters didn't want him anymore, because he lost a leg!

Cheri is a 13-year-old feral cat. He was friendly and going to be adopted, but unfortunately was hit by a car before that could happen! The vet had no choice but to amputate one of his front legs. Following this, his adopters decided against adopting him...

2. He lives outdoors, despite his disability...

Since the accident, Cheri has been living outdoors, in a secure area. There are a few shelters there, but not enough for all the cats...

Life is really complicated for Cheri, considering his disability. Running, jumping, finding shelter: everything is more difficult!

3. Senior canned food would spare him the need to scavenge for food

If Cheri could benefit from food that is appropriate for his age, it would be a real relief for him. Recharge his energy using such canned food would reduce his stress. He could then regain strength to cope with his daily life with a disability.

4. The costs are astronomical!

Our Dordogne-based association has been in existence for 32 years and operates in dozens of municipalities. In 2024 alone, we sterilised over 1,200 feral male cats and had 300 kittens adopted!

Unfortunately, times are tough: with the crisis, the ends of the months are becoming more and more difficult. Our food stocks are always dangerously close to zero... Feeding 8,000 feral cats represents an enormous budget!
