Born outside, little Valerie caught a serious case of cat flu!

1. She was born outside!

Valerie is a five-week-old kitten that we found with her mother at a feeding site. She was born outside and is in the process of weaning (her mother had to be released back to the site as she is too wild).

2. She is sick...

Unfortunately, Valerie has a severe case of cat flu. Her eyes are all glued together and her nose runs a lot. We are applying a cream and keeping a close eye on her, as the virus could interfere with her growth and become chronic...

3. Canned food would help strengthen her

A diet designed to meet the nutritional needs of kittens would be perfect for Valerie to gently wean off the formula milk.
