Blind and missing several teeth, Laila is struggling to feed herself!

1. She was locked in a barn...

Laila is a 22-year-old mare, who was seized from a breeder where she was imprisoned in a barn, in the dark. When we took her in, her eyes were crusted with pus. Today, she is completely blind, and missing many teeth, which greatly complicates her feeding.

2. Moistened pellets would compensate for her eating difficulties

Wet pellets would be essential for Laila. In addition to unlimited hay and grass, they would allow her to maintain her condition despite her dental problems. This softened food would be easy to consume without chewing efforts and would provide her with all the nutrients she needs to stay healthy.

3. Our finances can no longer keep up with the rising costs...

Our association has faced a constant decrease in donations for the past 4 years. We care for 14 horses, many of whom are old and have specific needs. With the increase in food prices, it becomes very difficult to meet the needs of all our charges without outside help.
