Foot problems, anaemia, thinness: poor Scarlett is in a bad way!

1. Her health is particularly fragile!

Scarlett is a 24-year-old donkey that we took in following the death of her owner. As she is quite skinny, we had a blood test done. Poor girl, she is very anaemic!

Given that she also has foot problems and difficulty walking, we had other tests conducted to ensure she doesn't have cushing's disease.

2. She will need pellets to get better

Being able to replenish her minerals and vitamins daily would gradually let Scarlett regain better health. Nutrient-rich pellets would be perfect for her! We would dampen them so that she has no trouble swallowing them.

3. The abandonments don’t stop...

Many donkeys need to be taken in from all over as there are many cases of abandonment. Sadly, we can't be everywhere; it's a lot of expenses and work... but we do our best!
