Diabetic and disabled, Canaille needs a suitable diet!

1. He's Diabetic...

Canaille is a 13-year-old cat that we found six years ago in a supermarket car park. He was exhausted, so we had him examined, which revealed his diabetes.

Since then, we've been giving him two insulin injections a day. However, this treatment is expensive, and we can no longer afford the specialised food he needs...

2. He had to have a leg amputated!

Canaille had a tumour on his hind leg. Unfortunately, to remove it, we had to amputate the leg. Since then, he's struggled to walk...

3. Special canned food would help him regain his strength

A diet tailored to help regulate blood sugar levels would be ideal for Canaille. By providing him with the nutrients his body needs, such canned food would provide him with valuable daily energy. It would be a good way to keep him fit, despite the difficulties related to his disability.

4. People don't donate much...

During this summer's holiday departures, there were many pet abandonments. We therefore had to take in additional animals, which represented many more mouths to feed!

Between the stray cats on the feeding sites and those at our association, we have about a hundred animals in our care... unfortunately, donations are at an all-time low!
